The Tavares Laboratory in the Department of Oral Biology, School of Dental Medicine at the University at Buffalo is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join our team.
Our laboratory investigates epithelial biology and salivary gland diseases, with particular interests in salivary gland biology
. We combine mouse models, human specimens, organoid systems, single-cell and spatial transcriptomics, proteomics, and advanced imaging to understand disease mechanisms and identify novel therapeutic targets and biomarkers.
The successful candidate will lead independent research projects while working in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities include designing and executing experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, mentoring trainees, contributing to grant applications, and preparing manuscripts for publication. Experience with one or more of the following is desirable: mouse models, cell and organoid culture, molecular biology, histology, microscopy, flow cytometry, transcriptomics, or bioinformatics.
