Research Technician (Temporary Position)
Our client, a leader in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a Research Technician to join their team. As a Research Technician, you will be part of the R&D Department supporting cross-functional teams including R&D, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Quality Assurance, and Operations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Research Technician (Temporary Position)
Location:
Buffalo, NY
Pay Range: $20-24/hour
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm & Friday 8:00am - 1:00pm
What's the Job?
- Perform laboratory testing, sample preparation, prototype development, and R&D support activities.
- Conduct laboratory and pilot plant experiments to support product development and process improvement initiatives.
- Accurately document experimental procedures, observations, data, and results in laboratory systems and reports.
- Support validation of raw materials, equipment, and processes while maintaining technical documentation and specifications.
- Maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized laboratory environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams on project objectives.
What's Needed?
- Associate degree in Food Science, Food Preparation, Laboratory Technology, or a related field; OR at least 1 year of relevant food industry, laboratory, or production experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, hands-on laboratory or food manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation and data collection skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot issues and support experimental analysis.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
