Tops Markets is accepting applications for current and future part-time openings. A brief description of each department is listed below. Tops has a history of promoting from within, and all full-time positions are posted internally first. Part-time positions could lead to a long career if you possess the drive, motivation, and desire to help our customers.
When you complete the application, you can list two departments that interest you and/or select “any department” if you are willing to work anywhere in the store. Front End – The final point of contact with our customers. As a cashier or cart clerk, your primary responsibility is to make a positive, friendly, and lasting impression on our customers.
Bakery - Slice, price, package, and display baked goods. Ensure product is stocked, rotated, and stored properly.
Pharmacy - Assist in providing health-related services. Retrieve medications, count or pour medications, label containers, price prescriptions, enter customer data, maintain records, and complete pharmacy paperwork. Maintain security of controlled substances and ensure orders are placed and supplies are stocked.
Deli/Carryout Cafe - Fulfill customer requests for deli and prepared foods, slice deli meats/cheeses, prepare products, and ensure proper storage, rotation, and display.
General Merchandise - Stock shelves, create and maintain displays, and organize the backroom. Includes first aid items, non-food items, and seasonal products.
Grocery - Stock shelves, create displays, and organize the backroom.
Meat - Stock, store, rotate, weigh, label, and display meat products. For certified meat cutters or apprentices, ensure the best cuts are available and process meat products accordingly.
Produce - Stock, store, rotate, water, process, wrap, slice, weigh, and package produce. Fulfill customer orders for fruit or vegetable platters.
Seafood - Stock, store, rotate, weigh, label, display seafood, and assist customers with seafood questions.

Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with customers and staff.
