Bakery Manager Store

SUMMARY

The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. Bakery manager must possess reasonable knowledge in storing, preparing, and maintaining bakery products, as well as demonstrate competency in inventory control, ordering and receiving product, and labor management. Strong organizational skills, as well as prioritizing multiple tasks are required.

Manager is responsible in setting an example in providing attentive and courteous customer service.

• Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding Bakery operations, safety, and sanitation
• Achieve financial goals such as sales and gross profit maximization
• Minimize shrink through proper handling and storing of product
• Take customer orders accurately for cakes and other specialty bakery products
• Adhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of product
• Complete all necessary paperwork relating to Bakery Department
• Selection, training, and development of Bakery associates
• Ensure supply levels are at acceptable levels, fulfill orders as needed
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Direct subordinates in implementing plan of action and goal attainment
• Minimize shrink through proper handling and storing of product
• Maintain and enforce a “clean as you go work environment to ensure sanitary conditions
• Perform tasks as assigned by the ASM or Store Manager

Must be at least 18 years of age

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions
• Possess basic computer skills
• Possess strong communication skills

• Proofer
• Pallet Jack (must be 18 years of age)
• Pan washer (must be 18 years of age
• Slicer (must be 18 years of age)
• Baler/compactor (must be 18 years of age)
• Jelly pump
• Ladder (must be 18 years of age)
• Knife/ Box cutter (must be 16 years of age)
• Computer
