Summary
SAS Associate – Space and Assortment. This entry-level position is designed for an individual with some background experience who wishes to begin a professional career in space and assortment planning. Each associate will own and maintain their own project responsibilities and timelines while collaborating (under supervision) with clients/customers to achieve project goals. The role requires using various tools and software to support the planning and merchandising process.
The Company is one of North America’s leading sales and marketing agencies specializing in outsourced sales, merchandising, category management, and marketing services for manufacturers, suppliers, and producers of food products and consumer packaged goods. It serves a wide range of trade channels, including grocery, mass merchandisers, specialty, convenience, drug, dollar, club, hardware, consumer electronics, and home centers.
Responsibilities- Manage timelines for multiple projects and report on progress.
- Analyze data and execute tests/prototypes to identify key business opportunities.
- Recommend solutions and action plans based on insights.
- Utilize company and customer‑provided tools to support project needs and drive sales.
- Understand customer strategies and continuously evaluate efficiencies.
- Provide insights and explore innovative solutions to strengthen customer relationships.
- Maintain and update data in corresponding tools to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Support any additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education required.
- 1–2 years of experience in merchandising and planogram development.
- Background in merchandising with knowledge of planogram/floorplan software.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint).
- Basic data analysis skills or relevant experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Travel and driving are not essential duties.
- Work environment: primarily office, sedentary, may require sitting for 66%+ of the day and lifting up to 10 lbs.
