The Floor Leader is a full-time, on-site role located in Buffalo, NY. This role supports the store leadership team by driving sales, delivering an exceptional guest experience, and maintaining Buckle’s visual and operational standards on the sales floor. Day-to-day responsibilities include coaching and motivating teammates, assisting guests with product selection and styling, and ensuring merchandise is well-presented, sized, and replenished. The Floor Leader helps execute store promotions, monitors performance metrics, and supports opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and store cleanliness.
This position serves as a role model for Buckle’s culture, focusing on teamwork, communication, and a guest-first mindset.
- Strong retail, customer service, and guest engagement skills, with the ability to build rapport and provide personalized shopping experiences.
- Leadership and team support skills, including coaching, mentoring, delegating tasks, and promoting a collaborative work environment.
- Solid organizational and time management skills to manage floor activities, prioritize tasks, and support store operations efficiently.
- Ability to understand and work with sales goals, key performance indicators, and basic cash-handling procedures.
- Attention to detail in merchandising, visual presentation, and maintaining store standards and cleanliness.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and comfort working in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- Previous retail or fashion experience is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is beneficial.
