The Director of Service Sales is responsible for driving profitable growth of the company's commercial HVAC service business through strategic sales leadership, business development, sales process management, and customer relationship development. This individual will establish and manage key performance indicators (KPIs), sales metrics, forecasting processes, and accountability systems while leading the commercial service sales function.
The ideal candidate is both a strategic leader and a hands‑on business developer who can create structure, improve sales performance, develop reporting systems, and drive revenue growth through new customer acquisition and expansion of existing client relationships.

Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership & Strategy- Develop and execute the company's commercial service sales strategy to achieve annual revenue and profitability goals.
- Establish, implement, and monitor sales KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Create accountability systems to measure and improve sales performance across the organization.
- Lead weekly sales reviews, pipeline meetings, and forecasting discussions.
- Develop annual sales plans, growth initiatives, and market penetration strategies.
- Identify opportunities for revenue growth, market expansion, and customer retention.
- Develop and maintain relationships with commercial building owners, property managers, facility managers, general contractors, and key decision‑makers.
- Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and strategic partnerships.
- Position the company as the preferred provider for HVAC service, maintenance agreements, repairs, and replacement projects.
- Develop and present professional sales proposals and service solutions.
- Negotiate and close profitable service agreements and project opportunities.
- Monitor sales activity, pipeline development, conversion rates, and forecast accuracy.
- Track and report on key metrics including:
- Revenue growth
- Service agreement growth
- New account acquisition
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales reporting.
- Provide leadership with regular updates regarding market trends, sales performance, and growth opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with operations, service, dispatch, marketing, and executive leadership teams.
- Ensure smooth transition of sold work to operations and service teams.
- Communicate customer expectations, project requirements, and service opportunities effectively throughout the organization.
- Contribute to the development of marketing initiatives and customer engagement strategies.
- Coach, mentor, and develop sales personnel as the organization grows.
- Establish performance expectations and accountability measures.
- Support recruiting, onboarding, and training of future sales team members.
- Foster a high‑performance, customer‑focused sales culture.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC service sales, mechanical services, facilities services, construction or related industries.
- Demonstrated success growing commercial service revenue.
- Experience developing sales processes, KPIs, reporting systems, and forecasting methodologies.
- Strong business development and relationship management skills.
- Experience leading sales teams or sales functions preferred.
- Strong financial acumen with understanding of revenue, gross margin, and profitability drivers.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Valid driver's license.
