PositionSummary
The Commercial Sales Representative is responsible for driving new business development and growing existing customer relationships across the commercial market. This is a highly visible, client-facing role focused on identifying opportunities, developing solutions, and generating profitable revenue through service agreements, repairs, retrofits, replacement projects, and construction opportunities.
The ideal candidate is a motivated sales professional who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities, and owning the entire sales cycle from prospecting through close. Success in this role requires a consultative sales approach, strong business development skills, and the ability to develop long-term partnerships that drive recurring revenue and customer loyalty. Success will be measured by revenue growth, customer retention, pipeline development, and achievement of sales objectives.

Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain relationships with commercial building owners, property managers, facility managers, engineers, general contractors, and key decision-makers.
- Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, cold outreach, and relationship development.
- Identify customer needs and develop solutions that align with the company's HVAC service, maintenance, retrofit, replacement, and construction capabilities.
- Promote service agreements, preventive maintenance programs, repairs, retrofits, replacement projects, and construction services.
- Develop and present professional sales proposals and service solutions.
- Negotiate and close profitable sales opportunities while maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Position the company as the preferred provider for HVAC and mechanical services within the market.
- Develop accurate estimates and gather information necessary to support proposal development and project execution.
- Maintain a disciplined sales process and actively manage opportunities through the sales cycle.
- Maintain regular communication with existing customers to identify additional service and project opportunities.
- Build long-term relationships that drive customer retention and recurring revenue.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and coordinate internal resources as needed.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding customer business objectives, facility needs, and operational challenges.
- Develop customer-specific growth plans to increase market share and account penetration.
- Maintain an active pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Accurately forecast sales activity and revenue expectations.
- Utilize CRM tools to track customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activity.
- Maintain reporting of leads, active prospects, proposals, and sales forecasts.
- Provide regular updates regarding market conditions, customer feedback, competitive activity, and revenue opportunities.
- Complete all required documentation and turnover information following project awards to ensure a seamless transition to operations and service teams.
- Work closely with service, operations, project management, dispatch, and leadership teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Communicate project requirements and customer expectations effectively to internal teams.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop solutions that address customer needs and support company growth objectives.
- Contribute to the development of marketing initiatives, customer engagement efforts, and strategic growth opportunities.
- 2+ years of business development, account management, or commercial sales experience is preferred.
- Proven track record of generating new business and growing customer relationships.
- Strong consultative selling, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the assigned territory.
