Global Technical Services Director at Solstice Advanced Materials
We are looking for a leader to build and manage a global organization that oversees all aspects of technical service for our refrigerant products. The role covers support for commercial/industrial refrigeration, residential/light commercial air‑conditioning, chillers, and data‑center applications.
The Director will work closely with sales, marketing, OEMs, contractors, and regulatory bodies, serving as the face of Solstice Refrigerants. The role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent presentation skills, and the ability to translate technical service into sales growth.
The position reports to the Sr Director of Global Marketing and is based in Morris Plains, NJ, or Buffalo, NY with a hybrid work model.
Key Responsibilities- Build and lead a global team of technical experts across vertical segments.
- Own all customer inquiries, including SFDC, phone calls, and web forms.
- Drive sales by converting technical service touchpoints into actionable leads, and map this process.
- Act as the face of Solstice Refrigerants, presenting technical topics to end users and trade groups.
- Collaborate with Marketing to create and edit technical literature, such as testimonials, data sheets, white papers, web content, and articles.
- Maintain close collaboration with the R&D team to provide field perspective for refrigerant applications.
- Participate in new product development when required.
- Lead an ongoing internal and external training program focused on proper use of Solstice products, highlighting portfolio breadth, environmental, performance, and safety benefits.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of direct HVAC industry experience (mechanical contracting, OEM engineering/applications, sales engineering, or consulting).
- Knowledge of heat‑transfer technology and refrigerant properties.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
- Ability to inspect mechanical installations in commercial and industrial settings.
- Regulatory certification (US EPA 608).
- Marketing experience.
- Industry knowledge.
- Proven sales success.
The annual base salary range is $215,172 – $269,259. This figure is a general guideline and may be adjusted based on experience, education, and market.
Incentive compensation is available.
