Description: Develop and maintain all sales and marketing activities, strategic development, and continued growth in the Ohio Valley and surrounding regions. This position will include cross selling between two PVS subsidiaries in which the successful candidate will not only be responsible for PVS Chemical Solutions, Inc., but also requires the ability to sell and maintain accounts for PVS Technologies. This position reports to the subsidiary Sales Manager.
Responsibilities (May include but not limited to)
- Responsible for all account maintenance for long established accounts in the region. This would include maintaining successful selling relationships through face to face, organized meetings, maintain contract and pricing records and communicating PVS polices and direction to the customer.
- Responsible for identifying new opportunities: implementing a new business prospecting plan that includes targeted lead generation and cold call prospecting.
- Responsible for communicating and coordinating the new business prospecting plan with subsidiary Sales Manager or Product Managers.
- Responsible for exceeding budgeted goals for price and volume.
- Have a complete understanding of PVS Chemical Solutions and PVS Technologies products, features, advantages, and benefits. Have an understanding of each subsidiaries capabilities and limitations in your territory.
- Learn and understand the competitor base for each product to effectively sell PVS manufactured products.
- Prepare weekly call reports and other information as requested. Develop and maintain consistent communication with Product Managers and Sales Managers.
Complexity of Duties
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to handle diverse and significant workload.
- Ability to work collaboratively and to manage/achieve results through others using influence, logic and persuasion.
- Willingness to take ownership and drive results.
- Excellent problem-solving techniques and quantitative, analytical skills. Balancing customer/supply chain/operational needs and company objectives.
- Strong skills in making formal presentations to groups.
Required Education / Skills / Equivalent Experience (Prior to hire / transfer):
- B.S. or B.A. or equal experience preferred, but not required
- Three to five years’ experience in sales or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office/E-mail programs.
- Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Location
The successful candidate would be required to be domiciled within the designated territory. This position requires overnight travel to effectively manage the sales territory.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
