Account Manager, Inside Sales
We are seeking a Sales Manager for a full-time, onsite direct hire opportunity in Buffalo, NY with a stable, customer-focused distribution company. This role is ideal for a sales professional who enjoys relationship management, account support, team leadership, and high-quality customer service without cold calling or commission-based sales pressure.
As the Sales Manager, you will oversee day-to-day sales operations, support established customer accounts, respond to inbound inquiries, prepare quotes, and help ensure customers receive accurate, timely, and professional service. Key Responsibilities- Manage daily sales operations, customer service activity, inbound inquiries, quote requests, and order support.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with established customers, vendors, and internal team members.
- Prepare, review, and follow up on customer quotes while supporting pricing, availability, and product questions.
- Coordinate with internal departments to help ensure accurate order processing and timely fulfillment.
- Monitor sales activity, customer satisfaction, account performance, and opportunities to improve service delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and support sales staff while promoting a professional, customer-first sales environment.
- Salary:
Starting at $75,000 per year, depending on experience. - Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. - Work arrangement:
Onsite only in Buffalo, NY. - Employment type:
Full-time, direct hire. - Bonus:

- Manage sales operations, customer service workflows, quote follow-up, and account support.
- Lead and support sales staff while maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Coordinate with internal departments to support accurate order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate sales records, account details, and customer communication.
- Previous sales management, sales leadership, or account management experience.
- Strong customer service, relationship-building, and account support skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, including professional telephone etiquette.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively with customers, vendors, and team members.
- Experience in industrial, wholesale, manufacturing, or distribution environments.
- Knowledge of inventory management and order processing systems.
- Experience using ERP or CRM software.
- Understanding of pricing, quoting, and margin management.
- Experience managing high-volume customer accounts.
- Proven ability to develop, improve, and streamline sales processes.
- Supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Strong analytical skills and reporting experience.
