How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, vehicle staging areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe passenger and visitor activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and assist with emergency procedures as directed.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and daily activity logs, and maintain professional communication with transportation personnel, law enforcement, emergency responders, and the public.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
