As an Access Control Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor records.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points at a utility location by verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining access logs, and directing authorized individuals to designated areas.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unauthorized activity or access concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of visitor activity, incidents, deliveries, and shift communications, and report security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
