Role Description

The Senior Field Technician is a full‑time, on‑site position located in Buffalo, NY. The role involves installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining telecommunications and IT systems, including structured cabling, network equipment, and voice/data systems. The Senior Field Technician will conduct site visits, perform diagnostics, implement solutions, and collaborate with clients to address technical issues efficiently. Accurate reporting and compliance with industry standards and safety protocols are also vital responsibilities of this role.

Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of cabling systems, network equipment installation, and telecommunications infrastructure
  • Experience with troubleshooting and diagnostics for IT and telecommunications systems
  • Proficiency in using tools and software related to network setup, maintenance, and repair
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical diagrams and blueprints
  • Solid project management, time management, and organizational skills
  • Effective verbal communication and customer service skills to engage with clients professionally
  • Willingness to adhere to onsite safety guidelines and protocols
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to customer sites as required
  • A vocational or technical diploma in telecommunications or an IT‑related field; relevant certifications and field experience are a plus
