We are seeking a dependable and skilled Commercial Maintenance Technician to support commercial facilities in Buffalo, NY. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity for a hands‑on professional who takes pride in delivering high‑quality facility maintenance, repairs, and preventative services. The ideal candidate has experience in commercial building maintenance, general trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry), and facilities repair. You will play a key role in ensuring properties remain safe, functional, and maintained to a “like‑new” standard.

This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high safety and compliance standards.

• Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs based on work order requirements.
• Complete minor plumbing repairs, including:
  • Repairing and unclogging toilets and urinals.
  • Replacing and maintaining valve assemblies and faucet fixtures.
  • Repairing and maintaining automatic flush sensors.
• Conduct routine painting, drywall repair, and carpentry work to maintain facility appearance.
• Repair and maintain walls, floors, doors, and perform touch‑up painting to ensure a clean, professional environment.
• Perform minor electrical maintenance within state law guidelines, including:
  • Repair/replacement of light fixtures, switches, and outlets.
  • Replacing light bulbs, ballasts, and sockets.
• Conduct service inspections and asset inspections as required.
• Maintain compliance with company procedures, OSHA safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive to various commercial properties as needed.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade certification or professional experience in Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry, Landscaping, or Specialty Floor Care preferred.
• 2+ years of commercial maintenance, facilities maintenance, or building maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance procedures and work order systems.
• Ability to perform plumbing repair, minor electrical repair, drywall repair, painting, and general carpentry.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift equipment, work on ladders, and perform physical tasks as required.
• Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer service.
