Position Summary Refrigeration Technician (Reefer Mechanic) - Buffalo, NY
- Pay $40–$50 per hour

Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the nation’s premier fleet maintenance providers, is hiring an experienced Refrigeration Technician in Buffalo, NY.

If you have strong experience diagnosing and repairing Thermo King and/or Carrier Reefer units
, hold your EPA 608 Certification
, and are looking for stable hours with excellent pay and benefits — we want to hear from you.

• $40–$50 per hour (DOE)

• Paid weekly — every Friday

• 40 hours minimum guaranteed

• Tues‑Friday: 2:00PM–10:30PM and Saturday: 8:00AM–4:30PM

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain Thermo King and Carrier refrigeration units

• Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) and A/C service

• Repair refrigeration diesel engines on trailer units

• Conduct safety inspections and complete required documentation

• Perform DOT inspections and trailer repairs when reefer units are fully operational

• Access and inspect undercarriages and mechanical components

• Remove and install parts as needed

• Maintain accurate service records (computer & manual entry)

• Communicate with clients via phone and email

• Follow all safety regulations and company procedures

• Proven experience with Reefer units (Thermo King and/or Carrier)

• EPA 608 Certification (Required)

• Experience with PMs and A/C systems

• Valid Driver’s License (Class
  
  C)

• Own hand tools and toolbox

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

• Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Word, fleet systems, email)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Exposure to heavy traffic areas

• Dust, diesel fumes, noise

• Oils, chemicals, and shop materials

• Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and lifting heavy objects

• Indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions
