Job Title:
Skilled Laborer
Join our team as a Skilled Laborer in Buffalo, NY, where you will support day‑to‑day operations in a production shop dedicated to building custom industrial water, wastewater, and process separation systems. Your role will involve hands‑on labor support, including assembly, shipping/receiving, painting, and facility upkeep.
Responsibilities- Perform mechanical assembly, including mounting equipment, instrumentation, and tank internals.
- Support shipping and receiving tasks, such as loading/unloading trucks, stocking materials, preparing skids, and completing paperwork.
- Operate overhead crane, forklift, and complete rigging tasks.
- Conduct painting tasks, including setup, surface preparation, degreasing, application, and cleanup.
- Assist with shop maintenance, including equipment repair, yard/shop cleanup, and organization.
- Follow all company, customer, and OSHA safety standards.
- Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools such as hammer, wrenches, pliers, and calipers.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to work in a hands‑on industrial environment.
- Ability to lift 30–50 lbs.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety standards.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to multitask and maintain efficiency throughout the shift.
Skills & Qualifications
- Background in plumbing, construction, refrigeration, or similar trades preferred.
- Military experience is a strong plus.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial shop environments.
- Ability to read prints, gauges, and measurement tools.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Desire for long‑term employment and growth.

WorkEnvironment
The work environment involves moving machinery, equipment, and vehicles, with noise from operating machinery and exposure to dust, fumes, and mist. It is non‑climate‑controlled, experiencing hot summers and cold winters, though upgraded ventilation systems are in place. Physical demands include regular standing and walking, some climbing, frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling, as well as overhead reaching.
Job Type & LocationThis is a permanent position based out of Buffalo, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00–$24.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
