Apartment Maintenance Technician

Overview

We have a property management company that is seeking skilled maintenance technicians with experience in property maintenance, routine repairs, apartment cleanups, and tenant relations to address maintenance needs. Strong understanding of remodeling, sink/shower/toilet leaks, basic electrical, and basic plumbing is required. The organization manages a portfolio of over 1,000 apartments in the Western New York area.

• Emergency calls such as leaks, no power, no heat
• Fix sinks, toilets, and lights
• Make necessary material runs as needed on a job-by-job basis
• Be able to travel to multiple job sites on occasion
• Maintain good note-taking, communication, organization, and efficient work habits
• Doors, trim, molding, etc.
• Window installation
• Door installation
• Lighting installation

• Experience in property maintenance and remodeling
• Strong ability to address leaks and basic electrical and plumbing tasks
• Own transportation (truck preferred) and basic hand tools
• Willingness to travel to multiple sites as needed
• Good note-taking, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently while coordinating with tenants

Upon completion of the probationary period, compensation will be re-evaluated. Maintenance coordinators are available to assist in coordinating jobs and tenant communications. Schedules and jobs are app-based on an accessible phone; schedules are posted weeks in advance to outline assigned tasks.
