Harris Technologies is looking for a Field Technician for the Company's Field Services organization supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This role will be responsible for field support in NY airspaces.

Essential Functions:

• Good working knowledge of cable connectors and replacement, such as RJ-11, RJ-45, DB-25, V.35, RS-449
• Have an excellent working knowledge of fiber, working knowledge of Multiplexes, Network topology, Frame Relay, Fractional T-1, SONET Network Technology, ATM, Private Line, Voice and Data applications
• Good working knowledge of power testing, AC and DC including 3 Phase AC. Familiar with configuration and operation of the 24
  
  VDC & 48 VDC power supplies.
• Experience with network and circuit testing with T1 Testing Specifications, DS3 Testing, Digital Testing (BERT), and Analog VG Testing within Bell Core Standards.
• Working knowledge and usage of various network test equipment: JDSU HST, Ameritech AM5XT, Sage 935, Digital Oscilloscope, Halcyon 704A, Para-scope or other T1/DS3 Test sets.
• IP Based knowledge with experience configuring routers and switches
• Experience installing equipment racks (wallmount, raised floors, concrete, etc.)
• Travel to FAA site locations within a 3 hour drive from Buffalo, NY area
• Candidate must be able to obtain FAA Security Clearance from Public Trust background investigation

Qualifications:

• Requires highly developed job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
• Obtain and maintain a DOT Public Trust Security Clearance and a DOD Secret Clearance.
• Possess and maintain a valid Driver's License and/or local US State REAL  and a satisfactory driving record.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in the Buffalo, NY area is $54,500 - $104,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3
