The Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Buffalo, NY. This role involves diagnosing and repairing residential heating and cooling systems, performing routine and preventive maintenance, and installing or replacing HVAC equipment as needed. The technician will conduct system inspections, identify issues, recommend solutions, and complete service calls in alignment with company standards and safety guidelines.
Daily responsibilities include communicating clearly with customers about findings, providing honest recommendations and estimates, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment before leaving each home. The technician is expected to uphold the company’s commitment to punctuality, customer satisfaction, and high-quality workmanship on every job.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to accurately diagnose HVAC system issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Experience with maintenance & repair and preventive maintenance for residential heating and air conditioning equipment.
- Knowledge of EPA regulations and possession of applicable EPA certification for handling refrigerants.
- Commitment to customer satisfaction, with the ability to communicate clearly, build trust, and provide courteous in-home service.
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems related to HVAC equipment.
- Ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and follow safety protocols and company procedures.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record, with the ability to travel to customer locations in the Buffalo, NY area.
- Previous HVAC service experience and relevant technical training or certification; apprenticeship or trade school background is a plus.
- Physical ability to lift equipment, work in confined spaces or attics, and perform tasks in varying weather conditions.
