Cool Sys seeks a Senior Refrigeration Service Technician to lead complex HVAC-R service for commercial and industrial customers. In this field role, you'll diagnose and repair advanced refrigeration and HVAC systems, perform start-ups, conduct preventive maintenance, and ensure high-reliability operation. You'll mentor junior techs, uphold safety standards, complete detailed service documentation, and collaborate with engineering and project teams. Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair complex commercial and industrial refrigeration and HVAC-R systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance, start-ups, and system performance checks
  • Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot system failures
  • Collaborate with engineering and project teams on system upgrades and retrofits
  • Ensure all work complies with safety, regulatory, and manufacturer standards
  • Document service activities, parts usage, and recommendations in detail
  • Mentor and support junior technicians in field best practices
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding findings and solutions
  • Assist with commissioning of new or upgraded refrigeration systems
  • Support energy-efficiency and reliability improvements for customer sites

Required Skills

  • Commercial refrigeration diagnostics
  • HVAC-R system repair and maintenance
  • Brazing and piping for refrigeration systems
  • Reading electrical and refrigeration schematics
  • Use of refrigeration gauges and diagnostic tools
  • PLC and control system troubleshooting (basic to intermediate)
