Mechanic II

Materion Corporation is seeking a Mechanic II, Maintenance to support our advanced manufacturing operations. In this role, you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery, mechanical systems, and facility equipment to maximize uptime and product quality. Responsibilities include performing preventive and predictive maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and basic electrical issues, reading technical drawings, and safely using tools and test equipment. You will document work in a CMMS, support continuous improvement, and collaborate with production teams.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production machinery, mechanical systems, and facility equipment to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing and support equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical issues using appropriate tools and test equipment.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and schematics.
• Document maintenance activities and parts usage in a CMMS and maintain accurate records.
• Assist with installation, alignment, and commissioning of new or upgraded equipment.
• Apply and follow strict safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and PPE requirements.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance practices and equipment uptime.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area in accordance with company standards.
