Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and/or Flux Core welding as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications.
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and components.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.
- Operate welding equipment, hand tools, grinders, cutting torches, and related machinery.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with OSHA and union safety standards.
- Measure, cut, and fit materials accurately.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, foremen, and other tradespeople.
- Complete assigned work within project schedules and quality expectations.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous welding experience preferred.
- Ability to pass welding tests and/or certifications required by the union or employer.
- Knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and fabrication processes.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality work.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various positions for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to heat, cold, and noise.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- $ per hour, based on experience and qualifications
