Are you a hands-on technician who excels in a hands-on field environment and takes pride in keeping critical infrastructure running safely and reliably? We are looking for a Multi Technician to support the safe, efficient operation of pipeline terminals, pump stations, and associated facilities. This is a dynamic role for a mechanically and electrically skilled tradesperson who enjoys troubleshooting, working independently, and being part of operations that truly matter.

The position is based within reasonable proximity to Lewistown, Harlowton, Denton, Fort Benton, or Big Sandy, Montana.
What You Will Do:Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment across pipelines, pump stations, terminals, and measurement facilities to ensure safe and reliable operations.
Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on pumps, motors, valves, seals, valve actuators, and auxiliary equipment, diagnosing issues and restoring equipment to service efficiently.
Execute electrical tasks up to 4160V, including troubleshooting PLCs and verifying/calibrating transmitters, switches, relays, and pressure safety devices.
Carry out operations activities such as measurement and sampling, determining crude oil quality, operating pumps, inspecting tanks and facilities, managing rainwater, and receiving/launching pipeline scraper tools.
Support damage prevention and integrity by performing line locating, facility inspections, and pipeline operations while maintaining strong housekeeping standards.
Operate and maintain mobile and support equipment (e.g., tractors, skid steers, forklifts, ATVs/UTVs, compressors, test equipment, and company vehicles) and complete all required documentation for compliance.
Oversee and coordinate work performed by third-party contractors, support emergency response activities, and participate in an on-call rotation to respond to operational upsets as needed.
High School Diploma
2 years of direct relevant industry training and experience.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Knowledge/experience with pump station, terminal, and pipeline facilities.
Four or more years of electrical and mechanical experience
Electrical/mechanical Technical Degree or Certificate
Strong technical/electrical skills
Physical Effort (straining, pulling, lifting)
Climbing stairs on tanks
Working at heights
Able to lift 50 pounds.
Exposure to unpleasant working conditions (heat, noise, cold, dirt)
Must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions.
Visual Strain/Concentration
Driving to Remote Stations and Valve Sites
Mental Stress
Must respond to, and address, callouts, and emergencies after business hours.
Must be able to respond to call outs within 30 minutes.
The successful candidate will undergo various background screening that includes but is not limited to a 5-year driving record, criminal check, a company sponsored medical and drug testing.
Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 50 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
