Buffalo Solar is a growing commercial solar EPC specializing in commercial rooftop solar and battery storage projects throughout New York.

We are looking for an Installation Supervisor to work alongside our Construction Supervisor and help lead the day‑to‑day field execution of commercial solar projects.

This is a hands‑on field position for someone with commercial electrical or construction experience who is ready to take on more responsibility. You will help coordinate crews, prepare upcoming projects, oversee installation quality and safety, and keep work moving in the field.

As you gain experience with our projects and processes, there is an opportunity to grow into greater responsibility supervising commercial solar installations.

This is an opportunity for an experienced field professional who is ready for the next step. You'll work directly with our Construction Supervisor, gain experience executing commercial solar projects, and have the opportunity to develop into a larger construction leadership role as Buffalo Solar continues to grow.

Compensation: $70,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year

• Help lead and coordinate daily installation activities and subcontractor crews.
• Review project plans and electrical drawings and ensure work is installed according to project requirements.
• Monitor installation quality, productivity, safety, and project schedule.
• Identify field issues and coordinate with the Construction Supervisor, Project Manager, engineering, and procurement to resolve them.
• Receive, inspect, stage, secure, and track project materials, tools, and equipment.
• Ensure projects are properly prepared before crews mobilize to the site.
• Maintain organized, safe jobsites and protect customer property.
• Assist with company vehicle, trailer, tool, and field‑equipment readiness.
• Support project closeout, punch‑list completion, and correction of field deficiencies.

• 2+ years of commercial electrical, construction, or similar field experience.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and construction plans.
• Working knowledge of electrical construction and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Strong field problem‑solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with crews, subcontractors, customers, and project teams.
• Comfortable working on commercial rooftops and active construction sites.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
• Solar experience is a plus but not required.
