Primary Responsibilities- Be an appropriate role model for clients in care. Create and maintain an atmosphere that is beneficial to the physical and emotional health of clients. Efficiently perform program functions according to a non‑traditional work schedule.
- Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with the clients that are responsive to their needs and are in accordance with the established treatment plan.
- Promote the growth of parent‑children relationship as indicated by that plan.
- Utilize Solution‑Focused Trauma‑Informed Care Approaches in work with clients and colleagues.
- Assist program staff in the development and implementation of client’s independent living plans through instructing, counseling, and directing them in matters of personal conduct, hygiene, appearance, social skills, school, routines and work habits.
- Foster the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of each child.
- Assure the health and safety of children in care by the timely identification and effective communication of all behavioral, emotional or medical needs. Confer regularly with program staff as needed on each child’s individual and group progress.
- Be responsible for the security of the facility and scatter site home areas, ensuring the safety and security of the clients and their homes, school, and work environments.
- Assure confidentiality of each child’s case through only necessary discussion at appropriate time and place.
- Complete all necessary documentation and communicate all essential client‑related information to involved personnel in an accurate, thorough and timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned

- Ability to multi‑task and be detail oriented
- Ability to work independently and be an enthusiastic team player
- Must have a high degree of discretion dealing with confidential information
- Available to work non‑traditional hours, which may include some weekend, evenings, and after hours to support specific programmatic schedules and crisis intervention needs.
- Ability to work effectively with clients, staff, families, and community contacts
- High School Diploma or equivalent, and 3 years of relevant experience
- Valid New York State driver’s license and adequate auto insurance
