SummaryAbout the Role
At Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, our support services are an essential part of the patient experience. In this role, you will lead the day‑to‑day operations of The 11 Day Power Play Cancer Resource Center and Elevate Salon, creating a welcoming, supportive environment for patients and caregivers. You will help guide individuals through services that support comfort, confidence, and healing, including wig and head covering programs, scalp cooling, and educational resources.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, people‑centered environment and is passionate about making a meaningful difference in patients’ lives. The starting annual salary for this position is $62,514 and this can include a full comprehensive benefits package.
What You’ll Do- Oversee daily operations of the Cancer Resource Center and Elevate Salon to ensure seamless, patient‑centered service
- Support and guide patients and caregivers through available programs, including scalp cooling and wig and head covering services
- Deliver compassionate education to help patients understand available resources and feel supported throughout their care journey
- Coordinate the distribution of educational materials and support resources tailored to patient needs
- Collaborate with clinical teams and internal partners to ensure alignment with patient care plans
- Lead and support staff and volunteers, fostering a positive, respectful, and service‑driven environment
- Manage workflows, schedules, and program operations to ensure efficiency and high‑quality service delivery
- Identify opportunities to enhance programs, improve processes, and elevate the patient experience
- Balance multiple priorities, adapt quickly to changing needs, and ensure consistent, high‑quality support for all visitors

Preferred Qualifications- Experience with scalp cooling programs or a willingness to learn specialized patient support services
- Strong ability to adapt and shift priorities in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
- Demonstrated success providing clear, compassionate communication to patients and caregivers
- Proven collaboration with cross‑functional teams, including clinical and support staff
- Leadership experience supporting staff, volunteers, or program operations
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage workflows from planning through execution
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
- Excellent customer service mindset with a focus on empathy, respect, and responsiveness

Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a health‑related field, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Human Development, Education, Communications or a related field and the equivalent of four (4) years of full‑time experience in a health or education related field; or
