Position: Trainee Support Coordinator - California (Part-Time)

Trainee Support Coordinator – California (Part-Time) Schedule

Monday–Friday (daily);
Part‑time (20–30 hours per week); occasional nights and weekends.

Compensation

$30.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Position Summary

The Trainee Support Coordinator provides comprehensive case management services that support participants from admission through successful completion of the Green Force program and post‑program retention. This position focuses on admissions interviewing, participant enrollment, individualized support planning, wraparound services, and ongoing retention to ensure participants overcome barriers and remain engaged throughout the program. The coordinator serves as a trusted advocate and resource by connecting participants with community‑based services and maintaining consistent communication throughout their Green Force journey.

Essential

Responsibilities Admissions and Enrollment
  • Conduct participant interviews and assess eligibility for Green Force programs.
  • Assist with required reporting and participant documentation for grant compliance.
  • Support community outreach and recruitment events as needed.
Case Management and Wraparound Services
  • Complete participant assessments to identify barriers to success.
  • Develop individualized support plans for each participant.
  • Connect participants with community resources, including housing, transportation, childcare, food assistance, behavioral health services, legal services, financial assistance, and education resources.
  • Maintain relationships with community‑based organizations and referral partners.
  • Provide ongoing support, encouragement, advocacy, and problem‑solving.
  • Monitor participant progress and adjust support plans as needed.
  • Maintain timely and accurate case notes.
Participant Retention
  • Maintain regular communication with participants throughout program participation.
  • Conduct follow‑up meetings to identify challenges and develop solutions.
  • Address attendance concerns and barriers affecting program completion.
  • Coordinate referrals for emergencies or supportive services.
  • Track participant engagement and retention outcomes.
  • Document all participant interactions and follow‑up activities.
  • Collaborate with Green Force staff to ensure participants receive coordinated support.
Community Engagement
  • Develop relationships with local nonprofit organizations and community service providers.
  • Represent Green Force at community outreach events.
  • Maintain an updated resource directory for participant referrals.
  • Support Green Force's mission through participant‑centered service delivery.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's degree required;
    Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field preferred.
  • Two years of experience in case management, human services, social services, nonprofit services, workforce development, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working with underserved populations preferred.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Experience conducting participant assessments and developing individualized service plans.
  • Knowledge of community resources and referral systems.
  • Excellent interviewing and motivational interviewing skills.
  • Strong documentation and case management skills.
  • Ability to establish rapport with participants from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
