BRICK currently has schools in two regions:
Newark, New Jersey, and Buffalo, New York.

The BRICK Buffalo Academy Charter School opened in August 2023 to a founding group of kindergarten and first grade students. As our school grows we are recruiting team members who are committed to proving what is possible for students and families on the East Side of Buffalo. BRICK Buffalo is looking for a Food Service to work part-time. The role will work from 9am to 1pm Monday thru Friday (20 hours a week). The ideal candidate loves to work with students and has a passion for delivering great service to their school community.

• Prep breakfast for all classrooms.
• Collect breakfast bins from classrooms.
• Record the number of students who ate breakfast.
• Clean the kitchen after breakfast service.
• Prepare for lunch service.
• Prepare snacks for students.

• Prep lunch trays and serve students.
• Record the number of students who ate lunch.
• Break down boxes and remove trash/recycling.
• Clean lunch tables between lunches
• Deliver snacks to classrooms.
• Prep breakfast items for the following morning.
• Clean the kitchen after lunch service.

• Check and record temperatures of food, beverages, and bleach water levels.
• Call in milk order by Wednesday before 9:00 a.m.
• Take inventory of breakfast, snack, lunch, and supplies; order items from BPSD as needed.
• Complete and submit monthly meal count to BPSD
• Additional Duties, as assigned

• Current authorization to work in the United States – A candidate must have such authorization by his or her first day of employment.
• Reliable transportation.
• A high school diploma or GED is required
• An ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and a capacity to remain calm and focused when faced with unexpected challenges.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong public speaking skills.
• Ability to compose and send professional emails, including attaching documents as needed.
