Arabic Speaking Client Advocate job at RAHAMA (Resources And Help Against Marital Abuse). Buffalo, NY.
RAHAMA (Resources And Help Against Marital Abuse), is the only female- and Muslim-led nonprofit organization in Western New York that specializes in underserved immigrant, refugee, and/or Muslim women facing domestic violence. RAHAMA is hiring two Client Advocates to join our team. In this role, you will offer compassionate, culturally sensitive services to women and children of domestic violence, helping them navigate the challenges they face and access the resources they need to rebuild their lives.
Positions:- Part-Time (20-30 hrs)
- Flexible scheduling and paid training.
- Serve as police or court liaison
- Help navigate social assistance systems
- Provide crisis intervention, safety planning and support
- Provide economic security assistance including housing
- Refer to counseling resources, support groups
- Explain victims' rights in legal system
- Bachelor's degree in social work with a minimum of 2 years experience in the field
- Arabic speaking
- NYS License
