We are seeking a Software Engineer – (Ruby on Rails) to work with the Digital Services team in Buffalo, NY or Remote to develop, deploy, & maintain software‑based solutions to the meetings & events industry. This role can be based in Buffalo, NY or Remote where the preferred candidate will be in either the Eastern or Central Time zones within the Continental United States.

Responsibilities / Skills- Collaborate with our Digital Services team to understand the scope and expectations of the project.
- Professionally maintain all software and create updates regularly to address customer and company concerns.
- Help maintain code quality and organization with peer code review and automated testing.
- Analyze code for weaknesses and errors, and present detailed plans to improve them.
- Analyze and test programs and products before formal launch.
- Strong sense of team collaboration, as well as ability to work independently and meet deadlines with or without supervision.
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
- Must be detail oriented and quality driven.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or other equivalent degree/experience.
- Minimum 2‑4+ years of full‑time Ruby on Rails experience.
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong individual contribution and effective team contributor.
- Extensive knowledge of software development life cycle, web application development, and project management.
- Experience with source code management and issue tracking systems (Git Hub, Git Lab, Jira, etc.).

DB, etc.). - Experience with event streaming (Apache Kafka, Amazon SQS, etc.).
- Experience with API integration between internal and third‑party systems.
- Working knowledge of source code management and issue tracking systems (Git Hub, Git Lab, Jira).
- Experience with web frameworks (Ruby on Rails, Django, Laravel, etc.).
