Senior Software Engineer - Service

Role Overview

Responsible at the advanced level for writing code and the team's technical requirements gathering. Independently completes work following banking technology standards and contributes to the overall stability and resiliency of banking technology within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Design, develop, and maintain Service Now solutions, including Service Catalog items, record producers, Flow Designer workflows, and task orchestration. Implement multi-step workflows with routing, approvals, SLAs, and task dependencies in alignment with established platform patterns.

Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers, participate in code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing sessions to promote best practices and continuous improvement.

• Associate’s degree and a minimum of 5 years’ systems analysis and/or application development work experience
• Advanced proficiency in at least one programming language
• Hands‑on experience with Service Now development, including server-side and client-side scripting
• Experience implementing workflow-based solutions, including approvals, task routing, SLAs, and lifecycle management
• Working knowledge of Service Now data model, tables, forms, and relationships
• Experience with source control, versioning, and CI/CD or promotion processes aligned to SDLC practices
• Ability to independently analyze and translate technical and business requirements into scalable and maintainable solutions
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills within Service Now or similar platforms
