Test Automation Engineer
M&T Bank is seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Engineer to support quality engineering initiatives across enterprise banking applications. The engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, executing, and maintaining automated test solutions for web, API, and end-to-end business workflows. The role requires close collaboration with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and QA teams within Agile delivery squads.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web, API, and end-to-end business workflows.
- Analyze functional requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to identify automation opportunities.
- Automate regression test cases and expand automation coverage across applications.
- Develop reusable automation frameworks and utilities to improve testing efficiency.
- Execute automated test suites and analyze test results.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution and retesting.
- Collaborate with development teams to support CI/CD integration and shift-left testing practices.
- Maintain test cases, automation assets, and traceability within Zephyr/Jira.
- Support test data management and environment coordination activities.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and defect triage meetings.
- Generate test execution metrics, automation coverage reports, and quality dashboards.
- Ensure compliance with M&T SDLC, governance, and security standards.

- Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern Dev Ops practices is a plus.
- Experience with AI-assisted test automation tools is desirable.
