Dispatcher / Operations Support Specialist
Staff Buffalo is working with a growing operations and logistics organization to hire a Dispatcher / Operations Support Specialist, paying $28-$32/hour, plus bonus potential and an on-call premium. This is a unique hybrid opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their day. Approximately 50% of the role is office-based, coordinating dispatch operations, logistics, and inventory, while the other 50% is spent traveling between retail locations, warehouse facilities, and operational sites to support field operations.

Responsibilities:- Coordinate daily dispatch activities while monitoring routes, schedules, inventory levels, and operational priorities.
- Travel between office, warehouse, and retail locations, spending approximately 50% of your time in the field supporting day-to-day operations.
- Communicate with drivers, vendors, customers, technicians, and internal team members to resolve issues and keep operations running smoothly.
- Support inventory management, maintenance coordination, fleet compliance, and operational projects across multiple locations.
- Maintain accurate dispatch records and utilize ERP, dispatch, and logistics software to support daily operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes while providing hands-on support wherever needed in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree or additional technical training is a plus.
- Previous experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation, operations, fuel distribution, warehousing, or a related industry preferred.
- Experience using ERP systems, dispatch software, logistics platforms, Microsoft Excel, and other business systems is preferred. Experience with Cargas is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to travel regularly between office, warehouse, and customer locations.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid role consisting of approximately 50% office work and 50% field work, including outdoor environments and active job sites.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-focused, dependable, adaptable, and willing to take initiative while contributing wherever the team needs support.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule.
