Role Seeking a Class A Linehaul Driver to operate commercial vehicles safely primarily overnight, transporting freight between terminals or relay points. The role involves occasional customer deliveries, loading/unloading freight with proper equipment, and vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Role Seeking a Class A Linehaul Driver to operate commercial vehicles safely primarily overnight, transporting freight between terminals or relay points. The role involves occasional customer deliveries, loading/unloading freight with proper equipment, and vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Drive safely during night hours, adhering to federal and company policies.
- Secure freight through appropriate methods.
- Inspect vehicles for defects and safe operation.
- Maintain accurate records, including driver logs, in compliance with regulations.
- Assist with loading/unloading freight and occasionally make customer pickups/deliveries.
- Follow all safety, federal, state, and local transportation laws, including hazardous materials regulations.
- Minimum of two years (or one year plus approved driving school) of interstate driving experience (~200,000 miles).
- Must pass a driving test and hold or obtain hazardous material/tank endorsements.
- No recent license suspensions, revocations, or violations related to DUI, reckless driving, hit-and-run, or other serious offenses within 36 months.
- Clean driving record with limited traffic violations and at-fault accidents.
- Pass a DOT physical, pre-employment drug/alcohol tests, and consent to background checks.
- Demonstrate dependable work ethic, positive attitude, and stability.
- Consent to use of driver-facing event recorders for safety.
- Register with FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
- Complete all application components fully; provide accurate work history.
- Pass roadside inspections review and maintain compliance with all safety standards.
