Position Title Motor Vehicle Operator, Parking and Transportation Services
Join our team as a part-time shuttle operator working weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and make a meaningful impact by keeping our campus connected. In this role, you’ll:
- Provide reliable and friendly shuttle service within and between campuses.
- Keep our vehicles clean, safe, and ready to go with regular inspections and maintenance.
- Offer vital transportation support for students with disabilities.

Departmental Operating Needs- You will be required to provide your driver’s license information to enable participation in the License Event Notification Service ( LENS ) and Clearinghouse for Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
- Individuals must possess a New York State CDL Class A, B, or C license, with Passenger (P) Endorsement for 25 passengers
- Previous experience operating a passenger bus or shuttle in a campus or public transit setting.
- Familiarity with assisting individuals with disabilities.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.

Physical Demands- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating a vehicle.
- Capability to assist passengers, including those with mobility challenges, as needed.
- Ability to perform light cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Driving Requirements A CDL is a required minimum qualification for this position. Employees must operate university owned vehicles for business purposes and be enrolled in the LENS and Clearinghouse programs to verify a valid CDL appropriate for the vehicle operated.
