Selector Packer
Job Description
As a Selector Packer, you will be responsible for picking, packing, and loading products from the distribution center to delivery trucks. This involves the use of various equipment such as order pickers, electric pallet jacks, dollies, and hand trucks to ensure efficient and timely delivery of orders.
Responsibilities- Read customer orders, work orders, or shipping orders to determine items to be picked and loaded for delivery.
- Assemble customer orders from stock and place them on pallets for loading onto delivery trucks, utilizing scanners and technology.
- Load products on trucks in a predetermined order, ensuring ease of sorting and selecting upon delivery.
- Ensure products are not damaged and perform equipment inspections, completing log sheets at the beginning of every shift.
- Clean the distribution center and plug all necessary equipment into charging stations at the end of every shift.
- Follow OSHA and safety standards, reporting any violations to the direct supervisor.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Proficiency in using loaders, packing, and inventory management.
- Experience with RF scanners, order picking, unloading, and general labor.
- Skill in operating pallet jacks, material handling, forklifts, sit-down forklifts, and electric pallet jacks.
- Experience in picking and packaging.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with stock pickers, pallet jacks, two-wheelers, wrapping machines, dollies, carts, high lifts, and order pickers.

Work EnvironmentThe role involves repetitive, physically demanding work, requiring regular reaching, standing, walking, and handling. Occasionally, you may need to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The job often requires lifting and moving weights of 50 pounds or more. Work is conducted in a secured distribution center environment with moderate to high noise levels. The job can be stressful with stringent deadlines, requiring certain levels of productivity and accuracy.
You will work second shift hours with varying end times, in team sizes ranging from 5 to 10 people.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
