Shipping & Receiving Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving professional for our clients temporary opening. See details below.

• $18 - $20/hr.
• 10:30am 7:0pm, Mon - Fri
• Must have reliable transportation as this location is not on a direct bus route
• Upon offer of employment, pre-employment screenings will be required
  
  Position
  
  Purpose:
  
  To safely and efficiently receive incoming product; and to pick, pack, ship, and check orders in a timely and accurate manner to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  
  Essential Functions:
• Process incoming shipments of product physically and in SAP
• Complete customer orders by picking, packing, shipping and checking material, in an accurate and efficient manner
• Maintain knowledge of work functionality and quality standards by attending training classes/sessions, as defined by manager/supervisor or delegate
• Maintain current Key Performance Indicator(s) (KPI) as directed by supervisor/delegate, and as per annual DIALOG
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to the company's LEAN 5S program including (but not limited to) keeping workstations neat, aisles and pathways clear of debris and clutter
• Stock / replenish inventory and supplies to maintain correct and efficient levels ensuring complete customer (internal and external) fulfillment
• Willingness to work extended hours and overtime, when required
• Work with other employees in a team approach to achieve departmental objectives by maintaining accuracy and preventing error in customer orders
• Compliance with the use of personal protective equipment as required by law and company guidelines and policy
• Follow all company fulfillment Module (MOD), Standard Operating procedures (SOP), policies, and work instructions to fulfill all orders, including customer requirements when applicable
• Assisting other warehouse groups when trained.
  
  Qualifications:
• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• General knowledge and ability to work with computers required. Signing on, using passwords, opening / closing windows applications.
• Prior experience in warehouse setting, with specific skills relating to packing / shipping helpful
• Prior SAP experience, and or prior RF scanner experience helpful
• Ability and dexterity to work in a fast-paced standing/moving position for long periods of time required
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to wear ANSI or ASTM certified safety shoes for 8 hours per day
