* GENERAL FUNCTION:
* The Financial Controller (Regional) is responsible for general accounting responsibilities, development of accounting processes and best practices, maintaining internal controls and the overall leadership of the accounting team.###
* SPECIFIC

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

** Manage all accounting functions, including:  + General Ledger  + Accounts Payable  + Fixed Assets  + Job Cost Accounting  + Inventory Accounting  + Revenue Recognition  + Joint Venture Accounting
* Assists in monthly financial reporting, financial statement preparation and analysis for all divisions.
* Contributes to the development and maintenance of financial reporting, planning and budgeting systems for the region.
* Ensures that all corporate and required accounting policies and procedures are documented and followed by the organization.
* Provides accounting guidance for all divisions including revenue recognition, intercompany billings, intra-division billing for equipment usage, forecasts, intercompany eliminations and fixed asset additions.
* Provides variance analysis for Comparative Balance Sheets and Income Statements.
* Responsible for assisting with maintenance and enhancement of financial systems to ensure data integrity and improve operational efficiency.
* Assists Controller with reviews of month-end and quarter-end schedules and reconciliations prepared by the accounting team.
* Maintain strong internal controls and segregation of duties.
* Responsible for regional travel on quarterly basis.###
* PREREQUISITES FOR SUCCESS:
** BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA preferred.
* 5-7+ years of accounting experience required. Experience in residential construction or homebuilding is highly desirable. Manufacturing accounting experience is a plus.
* Microsoft Dynamics SL, Oracle, and/or Sage experience preferred.
* Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles, including job costing, work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, pro forma underwriting, and progress billing.
* Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to senior management. Strong understanding of GAAP and construction industry regulations.
* Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Proven leadership in the management and development of accounting processes, improvements, and team development.###
