Position: Bookkeeper / Office Administrator

Accountants One has been hired by a fast-growing, multi-state publishing and marketing company in Buford, GA, to assist them in finding a Bookkeeper to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 5-10+ years of experience in accounting and enjoys working closely with executive leadership to play a pivotal role in shaping operations. This is a trusted, highly responsible role working with a small collaborative team.

The role is diverse, where no two days are the same. The company is values-driven and rooted in the community. They work in-office.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • 5-10+ years of accounting experience
  • Solid knowledge of Quick Books (an absolute MUST)
  • Familiarity with sales tax and multi-state compliance issues is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask (wear multiple hats)
  • Comfortable working closely with leadership
  • Experience in small business environment preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
Responsibilities Accounting & Finance
  • Day-to-day accounting
  • Coordinate with outside CPA firms
  • Maintain and reconcile accounts in Quick Books, Stripe, or other platforms
  • Process accounts payable/receivable, oversee invoicing and reporting
  • Monitor and prepare multi-state sales and employment tax filings (with CPA firm)
  • Coordinate with outside CPA firms on compliance, reporting, and year-end close
  • Track budgets, expenses, and cash flow to support executive decision-making
  • Assist with payroll coordination and benefits administration
Executive & Administrative Support
  • Handle essential administrative and operational duties for the CEO
  • Provide direct administrative support to the CEO, handling high-priority tasks with discretion and efficiency
  • Support vendor research, insurance renewals, and HR-related coordination
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and summaries for executive use
  • Liaise with external consultants, partners, and service providers
  • Organize and manage company records, contracts, and sensitive documents
