The Procurement Support Specialist assists Strategic Purchasing, a dedicated procurement team for tasks such as planning, scheduling of suppliers meetings, preparation of presentations, clarification of incoming requests, executing project related purchase orders and first level claim management, updating ERP system with initial purchasing vendor and material data, performing specific spend analysis and maintaining contract data base as relevant.

Buford GA. No relocation assistance for this position.
- Managing the new parts requisition list: set priorities and run process to add new parts to SAP with the correct data in time
- Responsible for updating ERP database with vendor and material related master data and info records (contracts, credentials, prices, LT, MOQ, etc.). Manage and suggest improvements to MRP systems processes
- Responsible to perform spend related analysis such as costing sheets and weekly price comparison including ad hoc spend analysis tasks
- Support Strategic Purchasing in Request for Quotation preparation, issuance and response analysis
- Support Procurement Project Leaders in daily operational activities like new parts set-up and sourcing
- Managing incidental orders of non-regular flows (e.g. samples, proto part, books, magazines, etc.). Prototype parts for Innovation (buying parts w/o item no)
- Manage non-regular spare parts flow in close cooperation with Service
- Support / join suppliers' visit if applicable. Create and distribute meeting action lists
- Perform warranty claims and return for non-conforming materials
- Decide on rejected invoices and communicate with suppliers with aim to reduce % of rejection. Gateway price deviations at order confirmation management
- Manage signing process and recording of NDA's and contracts in relevant databases
- Analytical; quick learner, ability to gather, interpret and evaluate information
- Organized and detailed; strong planning skills, good at delivering customer expectations and following instructions
- Ability to work under pressure, setbacks and open to organizational change
- Driven to achieve personal and organizational goals
- Perfect track record of ethical behaviour
- Knowledge of SAP MM, SRM, EP, BW and able/willing to operationally contribute in tactical procurement/disposition tasks and related improvement activities
- Secondary education in relevant field or equivalent
- Good English skills, both written and verbal
- 3+ experience / vocational training in initial purchasing / purchasing project management
