Position: Evening Teacher ( 2:30pm to 9:00pm)

Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and patient Toddler Teacher to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child development, be skilled at creating developmentally appropriate lesson plans, and foster a classroom environment that supports curiosity, independence, and social-emotional growth for toddlers aged 1 to 3 years.

Duties
  • Create and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that encourage developmental milestones in language, motor skills, social-emotional growth, and cognitive skills.
  • Foster a nurturing environment that promotes safety, respect, and positive relationships.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and families regarding children’s progress, daily activities, and any concerns.
  • Observe and document each child’s growth, development, and behavior.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and administrators to create a cohesive learning environment.
  • Supervise toddlers during play, meals, naptime, and transitions, ensuring health and safety standards are met at all times.
  • Attend required training sessions, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required;
    Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare setting.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
  • Strong understanding of child development and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, energetic, and able to adapt to the dynamic needs of young children.
