Job Summary
The HVAC Site Supervisor is the company’s daily representative on job sites. The Site Supervisor is responsible for relaying all information between the MF HVAC Area Manager, General Contractor, and Sub‑Contractors on site. The MF HVAC Site Supervisor should be up to date on all job sites daily operations and have the tools necessary to install material.
Supervisor Responsibilities- Attends all job site meetings.
- Performs Quality Control inspections.
- Communicates daily work expectations and scheduling requirements to subcontractors.
- Monitors safety compliance on site daily.
- Daily attendance on the job site and attends all job site meetings.
- Issues toolbox talks with subcontractors as required by General Contractor.
- Monitors and reports safety compliance violations immediately.
- Communicates daily reports to the General Contractor’s field office.
- Performs Quality control inspections to confirm installations meet project requirements and are ready for required inspections.
- Creates punch list for subcontractors and performs additional punch work required by general contractor as needed.
- Request material and equipment orders from MF HVAC Area manager.
- Takes excess inventory on site and provides materials deletion list to the MF HVAC Area Manager.
- Verifies order quantity upon delivery of materials and equipment.
- Keeps Material Containers neat and organized.
- Maintains copies of approved submittal package, shop drawings, mechanical plans, safety handbook and scope of work on site at all times.
- Communicates jobsite related issues to MF HVAC Area Manager.
- Communicates / Schedules rough and trim inspections with MF HVAC Area Manager or with governing authority if given approval.
- Record and maintain detailed inspection logs for lifecycle of the project.
- Ensure startup sheets are recorded and submitted to Warranty administrator for project close.
- Well‑rounded knowledge of Residential Electrical & AC Operations.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Must know how to use Desktop computer, Laptop and Tablets.
- Working knowledge of underground and aerial construction standards and principles including:
- OSHA regulations
- National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC)
- ASHR/ANSI Standard 90.1
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to function well in a high‑paced and at times stressful environment.
- Thorough understanding of safety and health laws, regulations, and policies.
- Thorough understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost management, and other effective manufacturing and distribution techniques.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Associate degree in related field, or equivalent industry work experience required;
Bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred. - At least three years of supervisory experience highly preferred.
- Customer Service Experience dealing with customer escalated situations.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking through job sites.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on computers.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
- Visual acuity to inspect products and machinery.
