Who are we looking for?

Our US East Environmental business is looking for a Health & Safety Specialist to join our Atlanta area team! This is an exciting opportunity for you to provide onsite support within an active manufacturing facility to support our client’s needs. The facility is located approximately 40 to 50 miles northwest of Downtown Atlanta and you will need to be able to be at the facility at least 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in developing OSHA‑compliant health and safety programs and procedures that span multiple operations and equipment types, while also taking the lead on creating detailed lockout/tagout procedures, conducting comprehensive job hazard assessments, and performing thorough incident investigations. Your work will directly support OSHA reporting requirements, program auditing, and continuous improvements in client safety performance.

As a trusted partner to our client, you will regularly review and refine health and safety programs to ensure ongoing compliance, complete routine facility inspections, and deliver impactful employee training. You will conduct industrial hygiene surveys, including air and noise monitoring, and help facilitate safety committee and emergency response team discussions. Your observations and site visit documentation will translate into actionable deliverables that strengthen day‑to‑day safety operations.

You may also support environmental compliance data collection and will take on specialized projects that include LOTO procedure development, JHA creation, and participation in DOT/RCRA seminars.

Identify patterns of risky behavior within the team and take appropriate action to resolve them, escalating serious issues as appropriate.
