Financial Analyst, Corporate Finance
A top client is seeking a high-performing FP&A Associate in Buford, GA to join its Finance team during a period of accelerated growth and acquisition activity. This role offers a unique opportunity for a finance professional to step into a highly visible, impact-driven position within a private‑equity-backed organization.
Responsibilities Financial Planning & Analysis- Prepare and maintain financial reports and statements to support timely and accurate internal reporting
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by preparing models, updating assumptions, and ensuring accuracy of financial inputs
- Analyze financial performance, identify key insights and highlight opportunities or areas for improvement
- Collaborate with business managers to find creative solutions to financial and operational challenges within the business
- Continuously improve financial models, automate key reports, and streamline FP&A processes to drive efficiency
- Support the development and maintenance of the business intelligence platform by preparing structured datasets and ensuring data accuracy
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using PowerBI
- Create data visualizations to effectively convey key metrics and performance indicators and enable real‑time decisions
- Work closely with business units to understand their data needs and requirements
- Support M&A activities by compiling, organizing, and validating financial information for potential acquisition targets
- Contribute to the development and execution of M&A strategies
- Assist with post‑close integration, including data migration and consolidation of financials
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in FP&A, investment banking or private equity, ideally within an industrial or services-oriented company
- In‑depth knowledge of financial reporting and three‐statement modeling / LBO
- Strong understanding of core accounting principles
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power Point
- Interest in or exposure to modern BI tools, preferably Power BI
- Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into structured financial analysis
- Robust communication skills and professional presence, able to correspond effectively and present information succinctly to key stakeholders
- Highly organized, self‑motivated problem‑solver with strong attention to detail
- Dedicated work ethic, personal and professional integrity and a positive, collaborative attitude
- Ability to work on‑site 4 days a week
- Familiarity with KPI and financial metrics design / tracking
- Experience in business intelligence software (Power
BI preferred) - Exposure to DAX, Power Query (M) or similar analytical languages is a plus
- Working knowledge or experience validating data in a database environment
- Net Suite reporting (analysis‑oriented, not accounting)
