Overview

Position Type Full Time

Description
  • Basic Function:
    Quality, efficient fulfillment of production orders on EL02, EL09 or EL18, as scheduled and released by the scheduling department in coordination with Line Supervisors, PE and Production Manager.
  • Minimize scrap rates, setup times and downtime on assigned Extrusion line(s).
  • Maintain safe, neat and orderly work environment.
Responsibilities
  • Complete setups, startup and operate twin-screw compounding extrusion production equipment to produce TPE compounds in accordance with standardized techniques and quality requirements to maintain production schedule set by Line Supervisors, Process Engineering and/or Production Manager.
  • Maintain quality standards through timely completion of start-up inspections and frequent visual inspections of in-process production orders.
  • Ensure online testing results are recorded in SAP as specified per work order (Hardness, Density, etc.).
  • Ensure all production paperwork is complete prior to releasing completed production orders to QA (cleaning/setup checklists, start-up inspections, weigh/mix sheets, raw material lot numbers, etc.).
  • Accurate recording of production time, yield and scrap for each production order in SAP and Shift Book.
  • Record all machine downtime in Shift Book, including accurate classification and detailed information on root causes/resolutions.
  • Label and return unused raw materials from production line scales to Raw Material Preparation area.
  • Participate in daily communication at shift changeovers to ensure smooth production order flow.
  • Maintain active daily communication with other departments for support needs, including Raw Material Preparation, Process Engineering, Maintenance and Logistics.
  • Active involvement in and support for continuous improvement activities within the work center (daily housekeeping, organization, 5S, ownership, etc.).
  • Adhere to established policies, procedures and SOP's, paying special attention to safety guidelines.
  • Notify supervisor and/or management of any material discrepancies, safety hazards, personnel injuries or any conditions that might affect product quality or on-time delivery.
  • Notify maintenance, supervisor and/or management of any equipment malfunctions or damage.
  • Attend training classes provided by Kraiburg TPE.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    • High School Diploma or higher.
    Experience
    • Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment, with preference for plastics machinery operation. SAP experience preferred.
