Machine Operator - Laser; Weekend Shift

Olympic Steel, established in 1954, focuses on safe, profitable, and sustainable growth in metal products manufacturing.

The Laser Operator is responsible for cutting parts, ensuring proper tech table values, nozzle selection, material checks, cut quality, transformations, and product inspections. The role also includes removing and identifying cut parts from the cutting table and packaging. The working hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6:00am to 6:30pm.

• Ensure proper tech table values, nozzle selection, material checks, cut quality, transformations, and product inspections.
• Remove and identify cut parts from the cutting table and packaging.
• Maintain the quality and quantity of parts coming off the table(s).

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience with laser operations preferred.
• Mechanically inclined, production oriented, safety and quality conscious.
• General knowledge of crane operation and ancillary lifting devices.
• Attention to detail with ability to inspect material for quality conformance using measuring devices and drawings.
• Working knowledge of general computer programs preferred.
