The Sanitation Technician is responsible for overseeing all activities related to the cleaning and sanitizing of mixing tanks, mixing equipment, production equipment, storage totes, pumps, hoses, and various machine parts. Responsibilities include cleaning mixing rooms, filling rooms, and manufacturing areas.
- Wash, sanitize and dry all production equipment.
- Wash production lines and common areas in production.
- Use high pressure units for general clean‑up.
- Drive forklift / scissors‑lift to clean overhead equipment / Facilities.
- Operate foam pumps to apply chemicals to all equipment.
- Operate floor-scrubbing machines.
- Follow all cGMP and SOP procedures.
- Participate in all Food safety and safety trainings.
- Take inventory of chemicals and sanitation supplies.
- Work according to Master Cleaning schedule (Loading docks, air curtains, lights, pipes, exhaust, drainpipes in shipping, etc.).
- Rinse and sanitize all packaging lines before start‑up.
- Remove all trash and debris frequently.
- Work overtime if needed.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Education- High school diploma / GED or equivalent work experience is preferred.
- Proven experience as a cleaner or housekeeper.
- Experience with cleaning chemicals and sanitation practices in a food facility is preferred.
- Prioritization and time management skills.
- Working quickly without compromising quality.
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
- Knowledge of the GMP, HACCP and Environmental sanitation program is preferred.
