FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Job PurposeThe Blend Operator I is responsible for accurately mixing and blending all powder ingredients into blends by using various food handling equipment in a clean food safe environment.
Responsibilities- Read work orders to determine production specifications or information for blends.
- Learn to use the ERP system to properly consume material, identify material, and complete certain blend processes.
- Accurately and properly fill out any related documentation needed for the blend process using scales in grams and or Kilos.
- Weigh or measure materials, ingredients, or products to ensure conformance to requirements set by the work order.
- Mix or blend ingredients using industrial equipment such as a Munson blender, Comils, Tote tumblers, Etc.
- Follow all SOP’s and cGMP requirements.
- Participate in all applicable safety and food safety training and wear proper personal protective equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean workspace by assisting in housekeeping duties to minimize food safety risks.
- Able to lift 30 pounds repeatedly, 50 pounds frequently and 75+ pounds with assistance, daily.
- Ability to lift, twist, crawl, reach, grab, bend, stoop, climb, or perform similar activities as needed and stand for long periods.
- Use material handling equipment such as electric pallet jacks, pallet stackers, standing and riding forklifts.
- Willing to work overtime as necessary.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Education- High school diploma /GED or equivalent work experience is preferred.
- Prioritization and time management skills
- Working quickly without compromising quality
- In a food facility or facility that follows cGMP practices is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
- Knowledge of the cGMP
- Ability to communicate thoroughly with peers and management.
