Summary
The Greenskeeper I performs a diverse range of activities involved in golf course maintenance, loves to work outdoors, is highly motivated, and detail-oriented. In this role, the Greenskeeper I will play a key part in creating a world-class golfing experience for our guests and will perform routine labor involved in golf maintenance, construction, and related work. They will be working closely with different members of our team, so quick thinking and an engaging attitude will be core abilities.
EssentialDuties And Responsibilities
- Operates powered mowing equipment and small hand tools.
- Course set-up
- Performs all the following tasks, including but not limited to, mowing greens, tees, fairways, rough, raking bunkers, weed eating, fly mowing, edging, sweeping, backpack blowing, shoveling, trimming and hauling plant material.
- Removes and lays sod, seeds, fertilizes and top dresses.
- Assist with construction projects requiring manual labor.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education And/or ExperienceLess than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of US currency and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory MVR for 3 years.
